Our recent trip to Romania and France

— July 2, 2013

Just a few weeks ago we returned from an adventure filled trip to Romania. We both volunteered our services at an annual spayathon through our good friend Nancy Janes and Romania Animal Rescue. Stray dogs are a significant problem in Romania and RAR, a non-profit organization, works diligently to combat that problem and to provide free spay/neuter for families that can't afford it. To date, RAR has succesfully spayed and neutered over 20,000 dogs and cats in Romania. The stray dog population is still very much a problem, but the impact RAR has had is profound. Gwyneth also works as a vet tech when we our home from tours (she's quite amazing with animals). She's been talking about this for several years now and we were finally able to put it into action. Gwyneth did incredible work doing what she does best (besides singing) and I documented the event through my camera for RAR to use in future fundraising campaigns. The experience was truly rewarding.

Take a peek at our blog and read more about our time there, the experience we had and more about the history of Romania and the stray dog situation. http://gwynethandmonko.blogspot.com/

After the clinic, we took a few days to travel through the country and visit some towns in the Carpathian Mountains and Transylvania. Amazing!

And oh yeah, there WAS a slight diversion to Paris ... for fun!!!

San Francisco — Saturday APRIL 27th!

— April 20, 2013

If you missed us last weekend at Viracocha (which by the way, is THE coolest and hippest place to see a show in SF), then you have another opportunity to catch us at The Lost Church (the OTHER coolest and hippest place to see a show in SF) next Saturday, April 27th.

The Lost Church is an intimate venue with superb acoustics and tasteful decor. It REALLY is a cool & hip spot to see a show! We'll be opening for Erin Brazill and The Brazillionaires ... a pretty amazing group based in SF who describes their music as "Vintage Noir Pop". Erin is also a good friend, so we're super jazzed about sharing the night.

Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased in advance through THE LOST CHURCH website. It's probably a good idea too, because the venue only holds 60 or so.

Saturday, April 27th
The Lost Church
65 Capp St
San Francisco, CA 94103
Doors 7:30p / Show 8:00p
$10

We really hope to see you Bay Area folks. One week from TODAY!
